Uche Sparks Comfortable Crystal Palace Win at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Missing key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in succession.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
